A truly all rounder Deirdre combines her role of Duty Manager and Bar Manager effortlessly. Deirdre has worked in the Castlecourt Hotel for over 11 years her decision making skills, energy, professionalism are just some of her fine qualities. Blessed with a great sense of humour her infectious laugh is renowned and makes Deirdre popular amongst guests and staff. An excellent ambassador for genuine friendly service, Deirdre Shevlin is our Front of House Employee of the year 2009.

Undoubtedly one of our favourite winners with both staff and management, Tom treats both our customers and his colleagues with genuine courtesy and respect. His work ethic and energy is truly to be admired and his personal presentation second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble and combined with a charming smile and a quick wit Tom is a truly great employee, well done Tom you deserve it!

Innovative, calm, and professional are the some of the qualities why John Goldrick one of our Sous Chefs was chosen as our Back of House Employee of the Year. Consistently praised by his colleagues for his commitment to good food, his dedication to his colleagues and politeness to other staff members represents what John achieves in his role as Sous Chef. One of our newer employees Felicity has taken the Orchard Restaurant by storm and as voted by you our guests we were delighted and not surprised when we totalled our guest mentions and discovered Felicity was the winner. Professional on every level Felicity is passionate about excellent service combined with a great personality we are delighted to present Felicity with the overall Customer Service award for 2009, well deserved.
