Our C Club’s Assistant Manager Caroline Hessions immediate action and quick thinking saved little local 2 year old Conor Dillon’s life who was within a few short seconds of choking to death in the reception area of the C Club leisure centre at the Castlecourt Hotel. Conors mother told the local newspaper, the Mayo News, ”Caroline was a good bit away but saw what happened and got over there quickly. In situations like that, the first moments are so vital and if people don’t react swiftly, it can easily be fatal. Before they knew it, Conor had gone blue and had stopped breathing.” Undoubtedly the most worthy recipient of the Front of House Employee of the Year 2011.

Head Chef, Alain has worked with us for over 20 years and is one of our favourite winners with both staff and management. Alain treats and his colleagues with genuine courtesy and respect. His work ethic and energy are truly to be admired. Nothing is ever too much trouble and combined with a charming smile Alain has earned the title of Employee of the Year 2011.

Back of House Employee of the year 2011 – Sinead Hopkins
Innovative, energetic and professional are the some of the qualities why Sinead Hopkins Assistant Sales & Conference Manager was chosen as our Back of House Employee of the Year. Consistently praised by her colleagues for her dedication, enthusiasm and attention to detail Sinead absolutely deserves her award for Back of House Employee of the Year 2011.

One of our most popular employees Bláthnaid has taken the Front Office under her wing and was voted by you our guests as Customer Service Award Winner for 2011. We were delighted and not surprised when we totalled our guest mentions and discovered Bláthnaid was the winner.
