From the very first time we contacted the Castlecourt about our wedding, Vinny and the team put us at ease. Vinny, Liz, Ann, Rhona and Jamie are absolutely top class at what they do, not to mention how helpful and personable each of them are. The Castlecourt is such a beautiful venue. The Dome itself is a stunning ballroom. It was the perfect day in every way from start to finish, so relaxed and laid back, with suited us perfectly! We had guests coming from all over the country and everyone commented on how well-organised and smooth the food service was. The Castlecourt was always going to be our 1st choice, and we are so glad we chose it as our wedding venue. We can't wait to visit again soon. A huge 'Go Raibh Míle Maith Agaibh' and continued success to all at The Castlecourt. Michelle & Martin.

What can we say about the Castlecourt Hotel as a wedding venue? Absolutely outstanding! You will not be disappointed. The Service, the food, the wedding coordinator... everyone working there just goes above and beyond for your wedding day. Our wedding guests were raving about the food! The cocktails at the reception were amazing. For the reception drinks, there is a choice between indoor and outdoor options. The ballroom itself is class. It ticks all the boxes to have your wedding there, the package deals are amazing, and great value for your money. Vinnie, Jamie and Sharon are amazing at what they do. Even on the morning of the wedding, we had to make last-minute changes to the table plan...nothing is an issue. I'd highly recommend

 
5* Wedding Review - July, 2025
We had our wedding reception at The Castlecourt Hotel in Westport. From the first day we went to view the venue until our wedding day we can give nothing but praise to the coordinators, owners and venue. We met Rhona the first day and told her what our aim was for our wedding day and booked the venue there and then. They were so accommodating and had lots of helpful suggestions for us for the theme of our wedding.
We worked with Rhona on our menu tasting and it was a wonderful experience and made us excited to finalise the menu for our wedding day. We met and worked with Liz to plan how our wedding day would run. As dancing was the theme of our wedding we had three social bands play and wanted to ensure dancing would start early in the evening.
We were able to plan when our evening break was going to be and I was able to request how I wanted our cake set up. On our wedding day, we were met by Vinnie and Jamie. They whisked us away to set up our wedding cake. The dinner went off so smoothly. Everyone got fed quickly and the feedback from our guests on the food was fantastic. The arrival reception had food, tea/coffee, and mocktails.
There was a wonderful selection of sandwiches, chips and chicken goujons as well as our wedding cake with tea and coffee. I think the highlight of the evening for a lot of people was the bacon sandwiches at 2:30 am after all the music ended and before the sessions started.
Everyone was impressed with the food and nobody went hungry. We would highly recommend The Castlecourt for any events.
All the staff and service were outstanding, if we could do it all again we would.

First off, we'd like to extend our thanks to Vinny, Liz, Jamie and all the team at the Castlecourt Hotel. Since the beginning of the wedding preparations, the team have been there to support us in any way possible. On the morning of the wedding, they gave us access to a function room as we had a large party of 12 to get ready for the day ahead. Before we could ask for anything, they had it presented to us. It really made us feel extremely relaxed as they were able to anticipate our needs before we did. All of the wedding party couldn't help but be in awe of the work and the professionalism that the team had. On the day, we had many guests coming up to us expressing their delight and enjoyment they were having at the wedding, insofar as they were planning to book the hotel for their wedding. We had a ceremony, drinks reception and dinner in the venue, and the set up and quick turnaround were impeccable. The team could not do enough for us. Everyone was mesmerised by the setup of the civil ceremony and the ease with which the team were able to direct everyone. It was extremely warming to see the owners, Joe and Ann, among the staff and helping during the dinner. The food was magnificent, and the service was 10 out of 10. Each course was served promptly, even with the addition of entertainment throughout dinner. The team at the Castlecourt are the best that we could have asked for, and we would recommend them to anyone looking to book a venue for their upcoming nuptials. What superlatives can I use about the Castlecourt Hotel that would do it justice? Our experience with them was first class from start to finish. The team are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. They respond to your queries very promptly and find a solution quickly. The team are long-standing professionals who know the wedding business inside out, and we found their advice invaluable. A special mention for Rhona, who was our main coordinator and gave us great tips for vendors in the area when we were booking. The food at the meal was superb. We had the lamb shank and the cod, and our guests, who have many weddings under their belts, felt it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. In fact, we are still getting texts about the quality of the food. We also had a pre-wedding dinner and spent our day two event there. Those meals were also outstanding. The venue itself is very nice 4-star plus, with lots of areas to take lovely pictures. Both the rooms we used were beautifully decorated with large candelabras and flower arrangements, and were part of the package. The Castlecourt is probably the best venue in the Castlebar or Westport area, and dare I suggest in the whole of Mayo. It certainly was the best value for money. I would highly recommend any potential bride and groom to check them out before booking anywhere else. Amazing!

The Castlecourt Hotel made our wedding day perfect, stress-free, and memorable for us and all our guests. The wedding organiser, Vennie, thought of everything, arranged lots of things we wouldn't have thought of that added to our special day. The hotel has hosted wedding couples for over 50 years, and now the ceremony can also take place on-site. We had over 250 guests at our ceremony and there was ample space for everyone. From the first meeting to the days around our wedding the team were professional and made us feel that we were all that mattered over the wedding weekend.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Vinny and his team. It didn't matter what our request was, Vinny was open to all suggestions and gave great advice from the first day we met him. Overall, the experience was fantastic, Vinny took all the stress away, and we got to really enjoy the lead-up to the day. The Castlecourt team are experts at weddings, and anyone that has got married in the hotel would agree. The food was amazing, the team of staff are so professional and pleasant to work with. When choosing a hotel for our wedding, we did not consider any other hotel, it was always going to be the Castlecourt hotel. - Caroline & Anthony

We had an amazing day celebrating our wedding at the Castlecourt. Vinny, Rhona and the team were just incredible and made us feel so at ease on the day. The function room looked stunning and the food was amazing. The whole process for us was just so smooth from the minute we booked the hotel as a venue. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue in Westport.

10/10 experience with the Castlecourt Hotel. We were well looked after the day of our wedding. The staff couldnt have done more for us. The reception was lovely outside with the lovely cocktails. The function room was beautiful and so spacious for all the dancing and moving around tables. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We wouldnt change a thing about our day :)

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Castlecourt Hotel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we viewed the hotel and booked our wedding date, Vinny, Liz, Rhona, Jamie and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. The detail and personalised service they provide made us feel incredibly special as if they were just as invested in our big day as we were. No request was too big or too small, and I'm sure by the end of it Vinny had heard enough questions for me! But nothing was ever an issue and they genuinely couldn't do enough for us, it was fantastic! The entire team was attentive, warm, and professional, ensuring that every request was handled with care.
The venue itself was stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception, having the cocktail reception outdoors was a fabulous addition and having the option of drinks from beers, to prosecco to cocktails was something which our guests loved and continued to comment on. The food and dinner service were both fast, efficient and absolutely beautiful, with very generous portion sizes. Finally, I have to comment on their package options and pricing, it was more than reasonable for the amount of things you get included in your package and I loved how you have the option to pick and choose what you need. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important moment in our lives. Thank you to everyone at The Castlecourt Hotel for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. We’ll cherish these memories forever! Highly recommended for any couple looking for a magical wedding venue.

The Castlecourt Hotel is absolutely incredible! They will go above and beyond to ensure your entire wedding experience is exceptional. The Corcorans, Vinny, Rhona, Liz, Jamie and the entire hotel staff are absolutely wonderful and we cannot thank them enough for such an incredible wedding weekend. We started the planning process from Boston, which was extremely daunting but once we decided on The Castlecourt we knew we were in the best hands. They worked around the time difference, video-called with us, and any time we came over for a visit they made time to meet with us to go over details.
Vinny, Liz and Rhona are top-notch from start to finish. They put us at ease, answered any questions or concerns we had, and handled every request like the pros they are. There was never a request that was too big or small for the team, and they ensured the day went off flawlessly. Because of how incredible they are, we were worry-free on the day and were able to really enjoy time with our friends and family.
We had a large American group who stayed at the hotel for the weekend, and The Castlecourt was able to accommodate a rehearsal dinner and welcome reception the night before the wedding which was such an added bonus. The staff in the hotel was so friendly and accommodating with our guests which just added to the experience. We have gotten so many compliments about the food, the accommodations, and of course the staff that we were so pleased with our choice of venue. You will hear it all over Westport - The Castlecourt knows how to do weddings, and that is so unbelievably true. We would choose them over and over again and we can't wait to come back to stay!
 

5* Wedding Reviews - May, 2024
The Castlecourt Hotel was the first hotel we approached in relation to our wedding. We didn't need to visit any other hotels after this visit! We met with Liz on day one, and she was exceptional to deal with, so helpful and detailed in what the Castlecourt Hotel had to offer for our big day. Once our date was confirmed with the hotel, we never had any concerns or issues at all. Every time we contacted the hotel we were satisfied with the service. Over several months, along with Liz, we also dealt with Vincent and Rhona.
Again, I could only describe the attention to detail from all staff as exceptional. On the day of our wedding, everything ran so smoothly. Staff at every area in the hotel were so helpful and could not do enough for us and our guests. The delivery of meals to our guests was so quick and efficient that everyone was dining at the same time. There was no delay between tables whether you sat at the top table or the bottom of the room. We can honestly say we had no stress or concerns with the hotel throughout the whole build-up to the wedding. We can never thank Vincent, Liz and Rhona enough for all they did for us to contribute to the best day of our lives.
It's an extremely well-run hotel, and we highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed with the Castlecourt Hotel!

 
5* Wedding Review - April, 2024
There aren’t enough words to sum up our experience of celebrating our wedding day at the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport. From the weeks leading up to our special day to the day itself, there was no job that was too big and no task that required too much effort. Vincent, Liz, Rhona and the whole team made the day flow seamlessly. The food was incredible, and the service was unbelievable. We had compliments from our guests, saying everything flowed so well, from the drinks reception, the meal, speeches, and the band to the lovely bacon butties at 2 am. We weren’t sure what to expect from day two as it can be tricky getting the party going again, but it exceeded expectations with a beautiful BBQ and live music in the Castlecourts Late Night Venue. A family-run business that made sure every one of our guests was well looked after - an unforgettable weekend. We could not rate them any higher, and hearing our friends and family talking about it weeks later says it all. Our only regret is we can’t do it all over again.

A huge thank you to the Corcoran family and all your staff especially Vinny for hosting us and planning our day. His experience and knowledge are second to none and he is so easy to deal with. We decided to have our reception at the Castlecourt as they offer exceptional service. We wanted our guests to be well looked after and they were. All the staff are brilliant throughout our experience from the tasting dinner to our two-night wedding stay. Guests commented on the great food, staff, and venue. All dietary requirements are catered for without hesitation. We would recommend the Castlecourt to anyone looking for a special venue.
